A Symbol of Culture, Family, and Flavor
El Chullo Peruvian Restaurant & Bar was founded in 2014 by Esperanza Luzcando and José Ramírez Sánchez, inspired by the flavors and traditions they grew up with in Peru. After moving to Arizona, they set out to create a place where food is prepared the way it's served at home — with care, respect for tradition, and pride in every recipe.
The name Chullo comes from the traditional Andean garment worn in Peru's highlands, a symbol of heritage, identity, and protection. Just like the chullo itself, our restaurant represents warmth, culture, and connection.
At El Chullo, we celebrate Peru's coastal and Andean cuisine through fresh ceviches, savory saltados, traditional appetizers, and handcrafted cocktails. We're proud to share our culture, welcome our community, and invite every guest to experience Peru — one plate at a time.
